Miss. Amy

Hello everybody, my name is Miss Amy. It has been very exciting to meet all the staff and students at the school. Thank you for being so friendly. I am looking forward to chatting with you all more this year.

I have lived in Hong Kong for one year. I really like all the mountains and skyscrapers because they are so beautiful. I love going to the beach here as well. I am learning Cantonese, but my Cantonese is not as good as your amazing English! Teaching Hong Kong students is amazing because you are all so clever and friendly.
 
My favourite food in Hong Kong is dumplings. I am vegetarian, which means I do not eat meat, and sometimes it is hard for me to find dumplings with only vegetables.
 



Here is what a real walrus looks like.

On the left, is a picture of me dressed up as a walrus. Dressing up and being silly sometimes can be lots of fun. Maybe, if you are lucky, the NETs will dress up in silly costumes for the English Funfair!



I also like to visit lots of different countries. For example, I went to China last year. This is a picture of me cycling near Guilin.

    Hi Miss Amy,
    This is Melody in P.5D.Welcome to our school!I think your summer holiday must be amazing.I like to eat dumplings too,but I would like some pork in it.When I saw your picture which dress like a walrus,I said'Is it a halloween costume?'because is similar with a pumkin head,two vampire's teeth and a giant body,haha!Also,I wish you net teachers will dress up in silly costumes in the English Fun Fair!

      Hello Billy, I am glad you like the photo. I like cycling as well. I like to cycle from Sha Tin to Tai Po. After I have finished, I am very tired and hungry so I have a meal at the Thai Restaurant in Tai Mei Tuk. My other hobbies are rock climbing, going to the beach and learning Cantonese. What kind of dumplings do you like?

      Hello! Yes, the view in Yangshuo is very beautiful. Have you seen that kind of mountain before? It has a special name in English: it is called a karst. What is your favourite view in Hong Kong?
