Mr. Luke goes to Vietnam (March 2011)

Hey everybody,

I hope you enjoyed my assembly on Vietnam. As promised, here is my full 7 days in Vietnam. For the first 4 days I stayed in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), and for the last 3 days I went to a beach resort called Vung Tau.

Day 1: This was a very busy day for me. I visited lots of sights, including the Opera House, Commisioners Palace, two different museums and much more. It was very hot on this day so I tried to stay out of the sun.

In the morning I went to visit the Opera House.
Here is a picture of me stood outside the Opera House
After I visited the Opera House I then went to the City hall.
This is the Ho Chi Minh City hall centre.
I am stood next to a statue of Ho Chi Minh.
This is the Vietnam Flag which flies at the top of the city hall.
This is a church called the Notre Damn. It is placed in the center of the city.
I thought it was very beautiful.

I visited two museums on this day. This is the second museum I visited.
It had a lot of history about the Vietnam war. It was very interesting.
Here I am stoof next to a tank, which was used in the war.
HCMC was a very busy city with wide open roads and many street sellers.
Can you see what this women is selling?

Day 2: I visited the HCMC zoo and saw lots of animals. I also visited yet another museum and walked around some gardens.

My favourite animal from the zoo was a crocodile.
Here is a crocodile resting on a log.
How many crocodiles can you see?
I also held a snake. It was very big.
Day 3: I visited the Mekong Delta. To get there I had to take a three hour bus journey. Then a one hour boat ride. It was worth it. I had lots of fun and took lots of pictures. Here are a few:
This is a picture taken on the boat.

This is a pitcure of the Mekong Delta. On either side they had boats, which people sold food, clothes and lots more things.

When I was on the boat I saw many people rowing there own smaller boats. Look at the picture on the right. She uses to oars (big sticks) to move the boat through the water.

Life on the Mekong Delta is very busy. The left picture shows men and women fishing for there dinners, and on the right boys play along the Mekong Delta.

 Day 4:
I visited the Chui Chi Tunnels. These are tunnels that were used to hide in during the war. they are very small and dark. It was scary.

It was a very interesting day. I saw lots of weapons from the war including bombs and tanks.

Day 4 - 7:

This was the pool in My hotel.

After all my travelling and hard work, I took a boat to the coast of Vietnam for a relax.

I also took a walk to see a big statue of Jesus.

This was my 7 days in Vietnam. I hope you enjoyed the journey with me. Please let me know what you liked about my holiday.

Until next time : )
